Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search box is sent to the third-party company that provides that tool. The provider, not Mobile County Court Docket, processes the terms and displays any result. This site does not keep a separate log of the names or case numbers submitted through that box.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends an email or another direct message, the message and return address may be kept long enough to respond, preserve business records, or meet a legal duty. It is not shared outside the operation except as needed for those purposes or when law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Standard server and analytics systems may receive technical details when a page loads. Those details can include an IP address, browser and version, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, time spent, and timestamps. The data helps measure traffic and maintain the service.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and similar tools may remember settings and show how visitors move through the pages. Analytics can aggregate those events to reveal popular content or technical trouble. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, although some site functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
Collected visitor data is used for limited operational and commercial purposes:
- Delivering pages and routing a query to the selected search partner
- Maintaining security and diagnosing errors or poor performance
- Learning which Mobile County topics are useful to readers
- Measuring advertising and showing ads that may reflect visitor interests
- Complying with a valid legal obligation
No Court-Record Data on File
Mobile County Court Docket does not host, compile, sell, or maintain a personal case-record database. The Mobile County Circuit Clerk, Probate Court, municipal clerks, and Alabama court systems keep the official records. Alabama Rule of Judicial Administration 30 and the Alabama Rules of Court-Record Privacy and Confidentiality govern judicial-record access, while the Alabama Open Records Act, Ala. Code §§ 36-12-40 and 36-12-41, states a broader public-writing principle subject to court rules and confidentiality law. Those laws govern official records; they do not turn this site into their custodian.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes shown on some content pages. Their privacy policies, retention periods, prices, and sharing practices apply to information entered in their tools. Mobile County Court Docket does not control those practices. Review the provider's terms before submitting personal information or buying access.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Mobile County Circuit Clerk, Alabama courts, municipal courts, record portals, or other outside services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy terms govern the visit. Advertising partners may also use their own systems to measure activity across websites. This policy does not control an outside site's conduct.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold as a customer list. Limited information may be available to service providers that operate hosting, analytics, advertising, or search functions, and to public authorities when a valid legal demand requires it. Each provider receives only the access needed for its role, subject to its own terms and applicable law.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to reduce unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be promised. Visitors should avoid sending sensitive court, financial, or identity details through ordinary email.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Information identified as belonging to a minor will be reviewed and removed when required by applicable law.
Your Data Rights
Privacy rights depend on the visitor's location and the law that applies. A person may have the right to ask what personal information is held, request correction or deletion, or object to certain processing. A request may be limited when retention is required for security, legal compliance, or another lawful purpose. Court-record access requests must go to the official record custodian, not this private site.
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change as services, providers, or legal duties change. A revised version becomes effective when posted here, and the date below will be updated.
